Il diffusore per canale centrale Quintet™ III MicroSystem, con cassa bass-reflex schermata magneticamente, utilizza lo stesso tweeter e due woofer da 8,9 cm con tromba MicroTractrix impiegati nei satelliti, per garantire l’adattamento audio e la corretta transizione dei driver nell’area di ascolto.

Per generare la potenza alle basse frequenze necessaria per completare le prestazioni del Quintet™ III MicroSystem, Klipsch raccomanda di integrare nel sistema un subwoofer Sub-10 serie Synergy (venduto separatamente), che assicura un suono più profondo e potente grazie a un driver con apertura inferiore da 25,4 cm accoppiato a un amplificatore di classe D BASH ad alta efficienza. In virtù della grande cassa con ampia apertura posteriore conica, il Sub-10 offre una migliore risposta alle basse frequenze con distorsione ridotta.

Ciascun satellite CS-500 – magneticamente schermato per non interferire con i televisori – impiega due woofer a uscita elevata da 6,4 cm e un tweeter con caricamento a tromba da 1,9 cm. This 2.1 home theater system—featuring just two compact satellites, a wireless subwoofer and an A/V center—creates enveloping virtual surround sound performances that put you smack-dab in the middle of the action. It does so by applying Dolby® Virtual Speaker technology, which simulates the effect of a five-speaker surround system.

Each compact satellite employs dual magnetically shielded 3-inch woofers and a 0.75-inch magnetically shielded horn-loaded tweeter. The subwoofer utilizes an 8-inch, down-firing woofer and 200 watts of amplifier power to generate hard-hitting bass response. And, due to its compact size and wireless capability, it can easily be hidden away while still delivering dramatic low-end effects. 

The CS-700 home theater’s A/V center has an up-converting DVD player that is capable of delivering a 1080i resolution via its HDMI output, so the signal matches the amazing resolution capability of an HD television. It also features an AM/FM tuner and three auxiliary inputs, allowing users to connect other audio devices to the unit. A universal IR remote control directs all system functions, as well as those of the TV and other entertainment devices.

Thanks to KlipschCast™ wireless technology, the CS-700 not only transmits CD-quality audio to its local subwoofer, but also to one or more of our award-winning RoomGroove iPod® speakers (sold separately), which also incorporates this uniquely superior wireless capability.

By themselves, the CS-700 and RoomGroove are top-flight performers; together, they deliver the full potential of a KlipschCast system—wirelessly sending superior music, TV or movie sound all over your home. There’s no wiring beyond the CS-700 satellites and power cords, no holes to drill and no difficult, time-consuming setup.      

How does it work? Simply, through KlipschCast, the CS-700 sends a wireless audio signal to one or more RoomGrooves. This signal can be the same one playing on the CS-700 or something entirely different. The CS-700 is capable of playing up to two separate sources at the same time. For example, the CS-700 can play a DVD movie in the living room, while the RoomGroove broadcasts the CS-700’s AM/FM tuner in the kitchen.

The RoomGroove can also play music locally, utilizing its retractable iPod dock, or through its auxiliary input for other MP3 players. Since the RoomGroove is a transceiver, it can transmit as well as receive, allowing it to send this MP3 music signal to other RoomGroove units throughout the house. In fact, users can create a multi-room music system with just RoomGrooves.

The robust 2.4GHz wireless technology found in the CS-700 and RoomGroove products offers unlimited add-on opportunities. Plus, the technology “sniffs out” the entire 2.4GHz band to detect other wireless technologies in use, such as wireless routers, and then transmits around the spectrum used by those sources. The home code dial on each of these wireless speakers allows you to select a code specific to all of your units to avoid interference from neighbor systems.

KlipschCast FAQs

Are the CS-700 satellite speakers wireless?
In order to function, these speakers must be connected to the system’s A/V center using the provided color-coded wires. However, set up is simple. You can have the entire CS-700 up and running in as little as 10 minutes.

Can the CS-700 satellites be wall mounted?
Yes, but they only accept ¼ - 20 inserts, which are commonly sold at hardware stores.

Can my CS-700 listen to my RoomGroove?
No, in a KlipschCast system that includes a CS-700 and one RoomGroove, the CS-700 serves as the main hub, meaning the RoomGroove can “listen” to what is being played on the CS-700, whether it’s DVDs, CDs or AM/FM radio. On the other hand, the CS-700 cannot “listen” to what is being played on the RoomGroove. 

The included IR remote will not turn my CS-700 on or off, what is wrong?
The remote might be in the incorrect input mode. The CS-700 remote is universal, so users must make sure that it’s in the correct input mode to control the system. You must be in “Disc” or “AM/FM” to control the CS-700. If a different input is selected, the remote is attempting to control the component plugged into that input (regardless of whether or not the remote is programmed to do so). If you are still experiencing problems after correcting the input mode, try replacing the remote’s battery. Then, if that does not work, contact Klipsch tech support at 1-800-KLIPSCH or support@klipsch.com.
